Embroidered into our History
At Kashmira, we aim to provide a platform to small and authentic artisans from Pakistan and give them an opportunity to showcase their talent and products to a worldwide audience.
The practice of craftsmanship and traditional arts are deeply embedded in Pakistan’s rich cultural history. This work showcases the ancient traditions and aesthetics of the artisans who create them and that have been creating them for centuries. The history of Pakistan can be told through each handicraft as each piece is an element of storytelling. Through the various styles of embroidery, color combinations and fabric selection, we learn about the antique discipline of each craftsperson.

Ari Jaal Pashmina
Our Ari Jaal shawls are a culmination of intense craftsmanship. This type of embroidery work is done by stretching the fabric tightly over a wooden frame. “Jaal” which typically means web, refers to the process of pulling the warp and weft threads apart with a needle. These extra cozy pashminas are unforgettable with their intricate threadwork.
